Consumer's 2016 Top Brands range across an expanded range of categories - which brands made the grade?

Well, Breville for one, as you can see from the photo above...

Breville received the Top Brand award across no less than five categories, having not only retained the Espresso award but also those for Microwaves, Food Mixers (jointly), Food Blenders and Toasters.

"This is an exceptional result!" says Breville.

But Breville isn't the only brand to have been found excellent across performance, reliability and owner satisfaction.

Miele also fared well across whiteware, being named Top Brand for Wall Ovens, Vacuum Cleaners, Dishwashers, Washing Machines (jointly) and Clothes Dryers.

2016's Top Brands range across no less than 18 product categories – many awarded for the first time including large and small kitchen appliances, laundry and cleaning appliances, line trimmers and heat pumps.

So, which other brands made it to the top of their tree?

Bosch, Dyson, Fisher & Paykel, Kenwood, LG, Magimix, Panasonic and Sebo.
