HARVEY NORMAN POSTS STRONG HALF YEAR RESULT

Not all the Aussie -owned retailers have been performing poorly...

To cut straight to the guts of the matter, Harvey Norman's half year to end December 2015 posted today reveals global sales which were +8% to AU$32.33 billion, global like for likes +8.7% (to AU$3.32 billion) and an EBIT of AU$262 million (+30.5%)

Total New Zealand sales for the 6 months were +6.4% (AU$23.42 million), NZ like for like sales were +5.6% for the half and profit from the New Zealand company operated stores was up AU$7.96 million (+30.8%).
