On Wednesday 3 April, Breville marked the launch of the new Super Q blender with a very special experience for media and influencers.

Designed to showcase the power and innovation of the new launch and engage guests with real influence, the brand partnered with new Ponsonby-based yoga studio, SALA, to treat guests to something out of the ordinary.

Held at the SO/Auckland hotel’s rooftop bar, a select group was treated to a yoga class with a difference, taking in the beautiful view over Rangitoto as the sun rose, a first for the newly-opened venue (and something that obviously ruled out Wares attending).

After experiencing the functionality of the new product via a short demonstration, attendees were rewarded for their early start with their choice of breakfast smoothie bowl.

Each bowl was created to order using the next generation, high speed Super Q blender and Vac Q vacuum attachment, before guests were able to get creative with their breakfast at the Breville toppings bar.

Guests included some of New Zealand’s most followed influencers in the worlds of health and food, including Simone Anderson, Ariana Omipi and Danijela at Healthy Always, as well as representatives of top publications Food, Healthy Food Guide, Food to Love and Remix.

Not necessarily ever destined to come to our shores, LG has been showing a concept of a product that use a Nespresso pod-style system, not to make a cuppa joe but to make ice cream!

The LG SnowWhite prototype was much noticed at and probably helped compensate for the Texas heat of the SXSW festival in March.

You choose the base and flavour for a variety of frozen desserts, including but not limited to ice cream – also possible are gelatos, granitas, sorbets, yogurts and more, all ready to eat in two to five minutes.

We want one – wouldn’t you?
