Sony 3D viewer

14 February 2012: Sony has introduced its outrageous Personal 3D Viewer, boasting a new style of viewing both 2D and 3D content. The world’s first 3D compatible “head mounted display” is a wearable headset with twin OLED displays and simulated 5.1 Surround Sound. The OLED screen features “high contrast, true-to-life colour” and fast response capabilities – the OLED panels have a response time of just 0.01 milliseconds for a smooth, natural video for fast-moving images. In a bid to replicate the cinema experience, the Personal 3D Viewer features an extended 45° viewing angle, simulating a real 750-inch movie screen at a virtual viewing distance of 20 metres. Lightweight (420 grams) and adjustable for fit, light blockers provide for an immersive feel. Personal 3D Viewer is compatible with a wide range of 3D products and 3D content production systems such as Sony’s BRAVIA LCD TVs, home projectors, Blu-ray Disc Players and VAIO notebooks.
