09 December 2011: Androidland is a special new Android-themed zone in Telstra’s flagship store on Bourke Street, Melbourne.

Designed by Telstra in collaboration with Google and handset makers Samsung, HTC, Sony Ericsson, Motorola and LG, Androidland features displays and games that will help shoppers learn about Android phones and tablets.

Cool as Androidland looks, it pales into insignificance compared to the high style of the latest Apple Store (see below), which opens today on the mezzanine at New York's magnificent Grand Central Sation.

With two Genius Bars for free tech support and advice, as well as Personal Pickup, a feature customers using the Apple Store App can scan and pay for accessories with their iPhone using the new EasyPay function.

And new 15-minute Express Workshops offer tips and tricks in a streamlined format to serve customers on a tight schedule.
