Coming back to the industry

26 June 2012: Tony Walker spent 16 years in our industry before taking an extended break, learning about business in a variety of new areas to achieve a much more broad-based skill set.

He now wishes to return to the fold and is keen to discuss any opportunities which may be out there.

Walker had “on the floor” sales experience with a major retailer before progressing into category management for appliances and sports equipment.

He then grew into a divisional management role for those categories, leading a team of product managers and having responsibility for the delivery of sales, margin, inventory and advertising targets. The negotiation of supplier trading terms including performance-based rebates were also in his care.

Tony Walker is extremely computer literate. He is a genuine all-rounder with expertise in sales, marketing, management, business analysis, finance & administration, product development and recruitment.
